When to send thank you cards before the wedding:
Once the invitations go out, chances are you’ll start receiving gifts from your registry before the wedding. In this case, you’ll want to stay on top of your thank you cards and send them out within 2 weeks of receiving any gifts. This will include thank you notes for any bridal shower gifts as well.
When to send Thank You Cards after the wedding
The big day is here and with it comes a lot of gifts! For gifts received on your wedding day, etiquette says you have a bit more time to send a thank you. You should send wedding thank you cards no later than 3 months after the wedding. This gives you plenty of time to take the time to handwrite a thoughtful note to each and every guest.
