These diy vintage inspired shoe clips are the ultimate versatile accessory to dress up an otherwise simple pair of heels. The combination of vintage-inspired crystals, dangling rhinestones and flowing feathers provide sophisticated Art Deco vibes to your wedding look. And with them being entirely reusable, you can clip them anywhere, from shoes to clutches, hair and more!
We love how easy these are to put together – simply glue all components to small craft clips and allow to dry. Perfect for any guest (or bride!) who is in a pinch for time before the big day.

STEP 1
Gather materials. You’ll need E6000 glue, crystal accents (they have a large variety at Michaels craft stores), small craft clips (find these at Michaels as well), feathers, and rhinestone cup chain. You’ll of course also need a cute pair of pumps or strappy heels to clip the finished pieces to! Having wire cutters handy for the rhinestone cup chain is also a good idea.
STEP 2
Use a sharp pair of scissors to cut the feathers into 2.5″-3″ lengths. This covers the craft clip fully, but also lets some of the feather extend above the crystal accent. Layer two feathers on top of each other for fullness.
STEP 3
Cut two lengths of 2.25″ and 1.5″ cup chain with the wire cutters.
STEP 4
Using the E6000 glue, fully adhere the two feather groups to coordinating craft clips. Let dry fully.
STEP 5
Glue the crystal accent on top of the feathers, making sure the crystal accent is placed right at the end of the craft clip to cover up the tip. Let this dry fully as well.
STEP 6
Glue the rhinestone cup chain at the bottom of each clip, setting it under the crystal accent to hide the ends. Let the clips fully dry for a few hours for security.
Once you see how fast and easy these are to make, you’ll want to keep creating! You don’t have to limit these to feathers and rhinestones, either. Try versions with lace, natural stones or even pearls for different looks. What combinations will you create?!
