DIY Easy Bridal Shower Floral Centerpiece

This DIY Easy Bridal Shower Floral Centerpiece is perfect for brides both on a money and time budget. We created this gorgeous arrangement for just $25, but the end result looks super chic! Plus, with the help of a store-bought crate and mason jars, this piece comes together rather quickly.

Peonies and white roses are perfect for spring showers, but you can really choose any blooms to fill your centerpiece. We recommend matching the colors or flower types to your party theme for a cohesive look. How pretty would your centerpiece look as the star of your shower tablescape?!

Step 1

Gather materials. You’ll need mason jars (we used 6 to fill our crate), a wooden create (they have a great selection of these at Michaels Craft Stores in different colors, sizes and finishes), faux flower stems and floral wire cutters. In the springtime, faux flowers are usually on sale at your local craft store – pairing that with coupons from apps or the internet helps you save even more money!

The Mason jars were under $1 each, and the crate (with the help of an instore promotion and coupon) was only $8. The florals were  $5 or under as well, on the sale rack. Shop sale racks and watch for promotions and coupons to save the most cash!

If you do want to use real flowers, feel free to do that instead. Filling the jars with floral foam instead of water would help keep your party mess-free. No spilling!

Step 2

Cut your florals with the wire cutters to lengths that will fit proportionately inside your jars. The stems’ flexibility comes in handy – you can bend them to get just the right fit! We used one large peonies and 2 small roses per jar, and this filled it up rather nicely.

Step 3

Place your first cuttings inside one jar, bending the stems to fit if necessary.

Step 4

Place this jar inside your crate, starting at the corner. To prevent movement, you can add a small amount of sticky tack underneath the jar to stabilize it.

Step 5

Continue filling up another jar with floral cuttings, and add it next to the previous jar in the crate. Stabilize with tack if necessary.

Step 6

Continue filling up jars and placing them neatly inside the crate, until you have used up all your jars and floral stems.

Step 7

If you feel there’s some empty spaces, it’s a great idea to use extra leaves from your stems to add greenery and dimension.

Step 8

Put the finishing touches on your centerpiece by placing these small cuttings in-between your larger blossoms. Look at the piece from all angles to make sure you fill any empty spots!

Your gorgeous centerpiece is complete! By using faux flowers, you’re able to create this much ahead of time and store as-is. When it’s party day, simply bring out of storage and let it shine! The washed wood texture of this crate is super on-trend, and great for outdoor showers or natural settings. If you’re going for a more shabby-chic look, try a crate with white washed wood and antique metal accents. Is contemporary more your style? Use a metal wire crate. Just keep in mind that the wood expertly hides the mason jars and flower stems. If using a metal or crate with less coverage, you can use metallic-coated or opaque jars to hide the stems for a clean look.
